Razer introduces trio of HyperSpeed Wireless gaming peripherals

Razer is expanding its portfolio of wireless gaming peripherals this week with a new mouse, headset and keyboard all using Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology to cut out latency. The new trio of peripherals consists if the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro, DeathAdder V2 Pro and BlackWidow V3 Pro.

If you need a refresher, Razer's HyperSpeed Wireless technology uses “optimised data protocols” and adaptive frequency technology to increase signal transmission speeds and stability. Combined, this makes for the lowest wireless latency for peripherals. You can see the trio of newly introduced wireless peripherals below:

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro promises up to 24 hours of battery life and features TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers, 360 degree audio with THX Spatial Audio and a Razer HyperClear Supercardioid microphone. Next on the list is the Razer DeathAdder V2, Razer's most highly acclaimed mouse. The new V2 DeathAdder Wireless promises up to 120 hours of battery life on Bluetooth or 70 hours using HyperSpeed Wireless, meanwhile, a Razer SpeedFlex cable is also provided so users can continue playing while the mouse is charging.

The DeathAdder V2 weighs just 88g, making it one of the lighter gaming mice around. As you would expect, there are reprogrammable buttons too, as well as improved grips and RGB.

The BlackWidow V3 Pro comes with improved Razer Mechanical Switches with a new transparent housing for better Razer Chroma RGB performance. Razer Yellow switches are now quieter and you get Doubleshot ABS keycaps as standard. The keyboard is built with a solid aluminium frame, a multi-function media dial and finally, a detachable USB-C cable. We don't have battery life estimates for this one, but it can be connected to multiple devices, either with Bluetooth, HyperSpeed Wireless or by plugging in the cable directly.

Here in the UK, all three peripherals will be available starting this month. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro will cost £179.99, the DeathAdder V2 will cost £129.99 and the BlackWidow V3 Pro will cost £229.99.

While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
