Microsoft announces launch-day games for Xbox Series X and Series S

Earlier this week, Microsoft updated us on how backwards compatibility works with previous gen games on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Now today, the team has revealed the full launch-day line-up of games.

This list does not include backwards compatible titles, so every game on the list is running natively on Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S with all the upgrades in place to take advantage of next-gen hardware. Games with ‘Smart Delivery' noted next to them are cross-gen games with additional graphical/performance upgrades available to the Xbox Series X/S version.

Here is the full list:

  • Assassins Creed Valhalla (Smart Delivery)
  • Borderlands 3 (Smart Delivery)
  • Bright Memory 1.0 (Smart Delivery)
  • Cuisine Royale (Smart Delivery)
  • Dead by Daylight (Xbox Game Pass + Smart Delivery)
