AMD Ryzen 5000U series to feature both Cezanne and Lucienne architectures

It seems that AMD will use two architectures in its Ryzen 5000U series. Initially, it was thought that “Cezanne” would be the only one used, but some SKUs might feature a different architecture called Lucienne, a refresh of the currently available Renoir.

The Lucienne architecture has been previously mentioned by Igor'sLab, claiming that it would be used exclusively by Google, and it would feature Zen2 cores and Vega integrated graphics. It may end up in use outside of Google products though if recent information is to be believed.

An Ashes of Singularity benchmark result spotted by @TUM_APISAK shows the unannounced Ryzen 7 5700U with integrated Radeon graphics. With the benchmark set at the “Low_1080p” preset and using the Vulkan API, this 8C/16T APU scored 1600, while the similar 8C/16T Ryzen 7 4800U scores about 1200. That's a 33.3% increase in performance over the previous generation SKU.

As per @MebiuW (via TPU), the Ryzen 7 5700U should be one of the Ryzen 5000U series using the “Lucienne” architecture. The other Lucienne APU should be the Ryzen 5 5500U, while the Ryzen 5 5600U and the Ryzen 7 5800U are expected to feature the “Cezanne” architecture, featuring Zen3 cores and Vega integrated graphics. All of these SKUs are expected to have a 15W TDP.

KitGuru says: What do you think about AMD's use of different architectures in the Ryzen 5000U series? Do you think customers will find it confusing?
