Asus announces the VG259QR and VG279QR gaming monitors

Asus has introduced two new TUF Gaming monitors to its already vast portfolio. Both the VG259QR and the VG279QR are two very similar monitors that only differ in size and weight. Featuring multiple gaming features, high refresh rate, and low response times, these monitors were “designed for professional gamers and immersive gameplay”.

The 27-inch VG279QR and the 25-inch VG259QR feature Full HD IPS panels with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT, and a non-glare coating. These 8-bit panels cover 72% of the NTSC colour gamut and offer up to 300 nits of brightness and a rated contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Both monitors are on Nvidia G-Sync compatible monitor list, ensuring that they offer a “seamless, tear-free gaming experience” through VRR (variable Refresh Rate), and feature Asus ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) that reduces the display's ghosting and motion blur when activated. Other gaming enhancements include Shadow boost, multiple overlays and colour presets, flicker-free technology and ultra-low blue light technology.

These monitors' ergonomic design allows you to tilt (-5º to 33º), swivel (±90º), pivot (±90º) and adjust their height (0-130mm) through the included stand. Additionally, there's also VESA 100x100mm mounting support if users wish to use these monitors on a mounting bracket. There's a pair of 2W built-in speakers, 2x HDMI 1.4 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Pricing and availability details for these monitors are not known yet. You can learn more about the VG259QR HERE, and the VG279QR HERE.
