AMD Ryzen 5000 processors have surfaced in SiSoftware database

New benchmark entries of the upcoming Ryzen 5000 processors were spotted on the SiSoftware database. The results were put in comparison with previous generations SKUs, showing significant improvements in both arithmetic and multi-media benchmarks.

With their release scheduled for the 5th of November, the first performance figures of the Ryzen 5000 processors on synthetic benchmarks have started to surface. The SiSoftware results spotted by @TUM_APISAK were then put on a chart for comparison purposes by @harukaze5719. All the processors were mounted on an MSI MEG X570 Unifi motherboard. RAM speed, timings and capacity are unknown.

In the following table, you can see the performance improvement from the Ryzen 3000 SKUs to its Ryzen 5000 counterparts in both SiSoftware “Arithmetic” and “Multi-Media” benchmarks.

Benchmark Ryzen 9 3950X Ryzen 9 5950X Improvement
Arithmetic 562.11GOPS 611.94GOPS 8.86%
Multi-Media 1650.49Mpix/s 2066.49Mpix/s 25.20%
Ryzen 9 3900X Ryzen 9 5900X
Arithmetic 423.82GOPS 501.27GOPS 18.27%
Multi-Media 1287.79Mpix/s 1744.13Mpix/s 35.44%
Ryzen 7 3800X Ryzen 7 5800X
Arithmetic 287.82GOPS 342.18GOPS 18.89%
Multi-Media 881.46Mpix/s 1252.24Mpix/s 42.06%
Ryzen 5 3600X Ryzen 5 5600X
Arithmetic 214.87GOPS 255.22GOPS 18.78%
Multi-Media 640.87Mpix/s 904.38Mpix/s 41.12%

The performance increase is more noticeable in the “Multi-Media” benchmark, with up to over 40% improvement over the Ryzen 3000 processors. Nonetheless, in the “Arithmetic” benchmark, there's also a decent increase in performance of almost 20%, except in the case of the Ryzen 9 3950X/5950X comparison which sits just below 9%.
