ASRock launches X570 PG Velocita motherboard for Ryzen 5000 CPUs

To coincide with the release of AMD's Ryzen 5000 series processors, ASRock is launching a matching X570 motherboard. The X570 PG (Phantom Gaming) Velocita was “designed to meet the needs of high-end gamers” while offering the best price/performance ratio.

The wireless and wired network connectivity of the X570 PG Velocita is handled by Killer Networking components, namely the Killer AX1650 (Wi-Fi 6) and Killer E3100 (2.5G) interfaces. Both interfaces support Killer Prioritization Engine, which prioritises real-time packets, and Killer DoubleShot Pro, which allows users to “use Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time” and select the best option between both.

Featuring 14 Digi power phases and 50A Dr. MOS, the X570 PG Velocita delivers a “smooth power delivery” capable of unlocking the overclocking potential of the users' processors. The 2x Hyper M.2 sockets come with a full-cover heatsink to avoid throttle of the PCIe 4.0 storage.

The X570 PG Velocita supports ASRock Polychrome Sync and comes with built-in RGB LEDs that you can synchronise with other compatible-products, such as LED strips, CPU fans, coolers, chassis. The motherboard has both 3-pin and 4-pin RGB connectors for convenience.

On a more technical side, this motherboard supports up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM at 5000MHz (OC), and comes with 2x PCIe 4.0 x16 interfaces and 8x SATA3 ports. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC1220 Audio Codec. The rear I/O has 2x antenna ports, an HDMI port, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen2 port, 6x USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a RJ-45 LAN port, an optical SPDIF out port, HD-audio jacks, and BIOS Flashback button.

Chris Lee, general manager of ASRock motherboard business unit, said that they took feedback into consideration and added Killer networking to offer “uninterrupted online experiences and makes gamers beat all competitors in an instant”.

KitGuru says: Are you building or upgrading your system with a new Ryzen 5000 processor? Are you looking for a new motherboard to pair with it? What do you think about the ASRock X570 PG Velocita?
