LG is adding a new WQHD gaming monitor to its display lineup. Similar to the 27GL83A, the new 27GN800 features a high refresh-rate Nano IPS panel with fast response times but cuts costs on the stand.
The 27-inch Nano IPS panel of the 27GN800 has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms G2G response time, and a 2560x1440p resolution. The 10-bit panel covers 99% of the sRGB colour spectrum and has 350 nits of typical brightness. Finally, this panel is rated for a 1000:1 contrast ratio and ships pre-calibrated.
Compatible with G-Sync and featuring FreeSync Premium, the 27GN800 offers a tearless and stutter-free gaming experience. To reduce input-lag, LG has employed its DAS (Dynamic Action Sync) technology so users can get as close to a “pro-level experience” as possible.
Other gaming-oriented features include Black Stabilizer, Crosshair, motion blur reduction technologies and HDR support. Additionally, it also uses flicker-free technology to reduce the user's eye strain and features a reader mode to reduce blue light.
This monitor has 2x HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack. The included stand only allows the users to tilt the monitor, but the VESA 100x100mm support allows users to mount a third-party arm bracket.
Pricing and availability details have not been shared yet but this monitor should hit retail before the end of the year.
