A couple of months ago, Remedy Entertainment has announced Control: Ultimate Edition, an all-content included version of the game, which will also serve as the next-gen console version. Initially, the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions were due to arrive close to launch but a last minute delay has pushed the game into 2021.
Control: Ultimate Edition includes ‘The Foundation’ and ‘AWE’, as well as the free updates that Remedy released along the way, tying everything together in one package. For Xbox Series X/S and PS5 buyers, you'll have to wait a bit longer for this game to arrive, as Remedy announced a delay earlier today:
An update from the development team: Control Ultimate Edition will arrive on next generation platforms early 2021.
We want the final quality of the game to be awesome, and so we need a bit more time to work on it. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Unfortunately for those who bought the base game and season pass on current-gen consoles, you will not be getting a free upgrade to the Ultimate Edition. You have to own the Ultimate Edition to gain access to next-gen graphical upgrades.
A new release date for Control: Ultimate Edition on next-gen consoles has yet to be announced outside of a vague ‘early 2021' window.
KitGuru Says: Control: Ultimate Edition will take a bit longer to hit next-gen but from the sounds of it, the delay won't be too drastic. Are any of you planning on getting a next-gen console close to launch?
