AOC partners with Porsche Design to create new gaming monitors

AOC and Porsche Design have partnered up using both the sophistication and functionality of Porsche Design and AOC's display technology to create new high-performance gaming monitors with sleek aesthetics.

Porsche Design has been known for creating exceptional designs for unique lifestyle products. The company's design core idea is to “optimise form and function by discovering new and innovative solutions”. On the other hand, we have AOC, a subsidiary of the world's largest LCD monitor manufacturer, which focus on delivering high-performance gaming monitors through its AOC Gaming and AGON product lines.

With this partnership, both companies will have the chance to apply their strongest points to create new gaming monitors, with the first one coming in autumn 2020. The gaming monitor market (+144Hz) had a 76% YoY at the end of 2019. Given this increase in popularity, Porsche Design will be able to provide “exclusive lifestyle-brand access” to more gamers. Using their experience in motorsports, monitors will be perfect for the company's transition from sports to esports.

Jan Becker, CEO of Porsche Design, stated the company already has an “exclusive range of consumer electronic products” and with the growth of the gaming market, gaming monitors were the best fit into Porsche Design's product lineup.

Nico Vernieuwe, SVP branded business at TPV Technology (AOC parent company), claimed that Porsche Design “heritage goes perfectly with AOC's state-of-the-art display technology”, allowing both companies to provide gamers with a unique gaming experience through stylish and high-performance monitors.
