Black Friday: Best Gaming PC Monitor Deals

Black Friday has officially arrived and with it, there are a ton of new deals floating around, making this weekend the best time to buy some new upgrades for your gaming setup. We’ve been on the lookout for some of the best gaming monitors on sale, so if you're looking to make a big upgrade, you'll find something worthy here.

Ultra-Wide:

Over the last five years, the popularity of ultra-wide 21:9 and 32:9 displays has grown substantially. If you're looking to make the jump to ultra-wide, then there are quite a few discounted options to choose from this weekend.

We'll start off at the high-end of the scale and work our way down to the more affordable options from there. Kicking things off we have the Samsung Odyssey G9 – a beastly 49-inch 5120×1440 display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Typically, this monitor goes for around £1,300 but for Black Friday, it is down to £1,099.99. The 120Hz version is £887.99 too, so you can save some money and still have a really good refresh rate for gaming.

Perhaps the biggest discount here is 50% off the AOC AGON AG35. This is a 35-inch 3440×1440 monitor with G-Sync Ultimate, meaning tear-free gaming and HDR1000. To top it all off, it also has a 200Hz refresh rate. At launch, this was a £1,999.99 display, but for Black Friday, it is down to £999.95.

This list wouldn't be complete without an entry from ASUS ROG. For Black Friday, the ROG Strix XG43VQ is down to £799.99. For that price, you get a 43-inch, 3840×1200, HDR-capable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it an excellent candidate for gaming.

On the cheaper end of the spectrum, the Iiyama G-Master series is definitely worth a look. The G-Master GB3466WQSU-B1 for instance is just £378.95 right now, offering a 34-inch, 3440×1440 ultrawide display with 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and FreeSync Premium Pro technology.

1440p/QHD:

The price of 1440p, high-refresh rate gaming has slowly dipped over the last five years. As part of Black Friday, a lot of excellent options are now dipping below the £600 mark.

The Samsung Odyssey G7 32″ is a prime example. This is a 32-inch VA display with 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate – it is also both FreeSync and G-Sync Compatible and is rated with 1ms response time. For Black Friday, this monitor is 12% off, bringing the price down from £628.99 to £549.95.

AOC has a similarly spec'd option. The AG273QZ is a smaller 27-inch monitor, but it still packs a 240Hz refresh rate at 1440p resolution, supports 0.5ms response times and uses FreeSync technology to remove screen tearing. At the moment, this monitor is on sale for £469.99.

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A and its earlier version, the VG27AQ are both on sale. The former is a 170Hz 1440p display with an IPS panel, currently discounted to £448.99. Meanwhile, the latter is a 1440p/165Hz IPS display, currently discounted to £408.95. An ASUS ROG Strix option also sneaks its way in the middle here. The ROG Strix XG27WQ is another 1440p/165Hz display, this time featuring FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync Compatibility for £428.99.

MSI has two standout options in the 1440p segment too. The first is the OPTIX MAG32, a 32-inch 1440p/165Hz display with FreeSync and 1ms response time for £398.99. Meanwhile, the smaller 27-inch OPTIX MAG27 offers the same 1440p resolution and 165Hz refresh rate at a cheaper £348.95 price point.

If you are looking to spend less than £300, then you are in luck. The MSI OPTIX G27CQ4 offers a 1440p VA panel with 165Hz refresh rate for £298.99. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27WQ1B offers similar specs at the same sale price. Finally, if you are looking for something a little bigger, then the Gigabyte G32QC-EK brings a 32-inch VA panel with 1440p resolution and 165Hz refresh rate for £299.99.

1080p/FHD:

As nice as gaming at higher resolutions can be, it isn't imperative to a good PC gaming experience. There are still plenty of PC gamers sticking to 1080p. With that in mind, we've rounded up some of the best Full HD gaming monitor deals.

Starting off with the Acer Predator XB273GX, this is a 27-inch 1080p monitor with an IPS panel, a 0.1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate. Currently, this monitor is 20% off, bringing the price down to £319.99. Alternatively, the LG27GN750 offers similar specs, including a 27-inch IPS panel and 240Hz refresh rate, but the price is knocked down to an even lower £299.99.

ASUS dominates the sub-£250 area with a bunch of options to choose from. At the top, we have the VG278QR, offering a 1080p FreeSync/G-Sync TN display with a 165Hz refresh rate for £248.99. The VG279Q is also on sale, offering a 1080p IPS display with 1ms response time and 144Hz refresh rate for £238.99. There is also the TUF Gaming VG27VH1B, offering a 27-inch VA 1080p panel with a 165Hz refresh rate for £218.99.

If you are looking to spend less than £200, then we have three standouts for you. The Gigabyte G27F-EK packs a 27-inch IPS panel, 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate for £199.99. The Acer Nitro VG27 also packs a 27-inch 1080p panel, but this time, it is VA, with a higher 165Hz refresh rate for £199.99. Finally, we have the smaller 24-inch AOC C24G2U. At this smaller size, you get a higher pixel density, FreeSync Premium and 165Hz refresh rate, all for just £179.99.
