Marvel's Avengers hasn't exactly been in the news for the right reasons lately, but perhaps that could start turning around soon. This week, Crystal Dynamics finally announced a release date for the game's first new character DLC.
‘Taking AIM' is the name of the first Avengers expansion, which will bring Kate Bishop to the squad, in addition to a new enemy known as the ‘Super Adaptoid', which can copy the super abilities of Earth's mightiest heroes.
Here's the official description for the expansion: “In Taking AIM, Kate Bishop, master archer and skilled gymnast, resurfaces after her investigation of Nick Fury’s disappearance following A-Day leads to her mentor Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) going missing as well. As she unravels the mystery behind the sudden appearance of the time-warping Tachyon Rifts, she uncovers a twisted new plan from AIM, which pushes her to work with the Avengers once again.”
The DLC arrives on the 8th of December and is the first half of a two-part story line, which will introduce both the Kate Bishop and Clint Barton versions of Hawkeye.
KitGuru Says: The best thing Crystal Dynamics can do at this point is bring a roadmap to the forefront and get players invested in the future of the game. Perhaps a proper next-gen enhanced release could also get the game back on track. Did any of you play Marvel's Avengers when it came out? Would you consider returning for a specific hero expansion?
