Asus has announced a new curved gaming monitor as part of the TUF Gaming series. The VG34VQL1B features a high-refresh rate, ultrawide aspect ratio, and a 1500R curvature to offer an immersive gaming experience for both professional and casual gamers.
Featuring a 34-inch VA 8-bit panel with a 3440x1440p resolution, 165Hz of refresh rate, and 1ms MPRT (ELMB), the VG34VQL1B has a maximum brightness of 550nits, and a contrast ratio of 4000:1, allowing it to cover 120% of the sRGB colour spectrum and 90% of the DCI-P3 gamut.
Like most gaming monitors nowadays, the VG34VQL1B features Freesync Premium and Adaptive-Sync to reduce tearing and stuttering, creating a smoother gaming experience. This display is also certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, paving the way for HDR content with enhanced colours and contrast. ASUS has two HDR modes available through the OSD – ASUS Cinema HDR, which boosts colours and ASUS Gaming HDR, which increases detail in dark areas.
Other gaming features included with this monitor are Shadow Boost, Display Widget Lite compatibility, Gameplus overlay, Gamevisual colour presets, flicker-free technology, and a low blue light mode.
Available display outputs include 2x DisplayPort 1.4a and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports. Additionally, there are 4x USB 3.0 ports and an earphone jack. The included stand has height, tilt and swivel adjustments.
Pricing and availability details are still to be confirmed, but this monitor should hit retail before the end of this year.
