Capcom is bringing more Resident Evil games to iOS

With the latest generation of iPhone and iPad devices, we have seen an increased focus by Apple on turning them into gaming machines, with a plethora of AAA console titles making their way onto the iOS platform. One company which has shown a great deal of support is Capcom, bringing both Resident Evil Village and RE4 Remake to iPhones. Now, even more RE games are on their way.

Making the announcement via Twitter, the official Resident Evil page shared the following:

“Welcome to the family, son! Resident Evil 7 biohazard joins Apple’s family on July 2nd, coming to iPhone 15 Pro models and every iPad and Mac with the M1 chip or later!”

They continued, “Resident Evil 2 is also in development for iPhone, iPad, and Mac” though no release window was provided.

The release of RE Village and RE4 were not without their issues, in particular when it came to the abundance of tweakable graphical options.

That said, as Capcom gets more and more familiar with the iPhone’s hardware, it’ll be interesting to see how these porting projects progress.
