Kratos is coming to Fortnite

Just as Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 has concluded, Epic Games appears to be gearing up for another major season. In a surprise collaboration that few people could have predicted, Kratos from God of War is set to be coming to Fortnite as a purchasable skin.

While yet to be officially confirmed by Epic Games (though it has been teased), Kratos will be joining the battle in Fortnite, as leaked by the PlayStation Store. The skin, which is based off of the 2018 title, sees the God of War “join the hunt” in a season which already includes the likes of the Mandalorian.

Kratos’ version of the Fortnite pickaxe will seemingly be the Blades of Chaos, though it’ll be interesting to see whether his newer Leviathan axe will also be available. Currently, it is unknown when Kratos will make his official debut in Fortnite, though based on audio teased by PlayStation themselves, it likely won’t be long.

While not yet explicitly stated, it is likely that Kratos’ skin will only be purchasable on PlayStation, though skins are of course cross-compatible. We’ll have to wait and see for the exact details.

It is known that PlayStation and Epic Games have a close business relationship, however it will be interesting to see whether any Xbox or Nintendo character skins follow suit. Popular requests from fans have included Master Chief and Samus. We’ll have to wait and see. Regardless, it is clear that the Fortnite train has no intention of stopping any time soon.
