Though once a rare occurrence saved only for Super Smash Bros. more and more franchises are now crossing over in video games. The latest crossover to be announced is between Xbox’s racing franchise Forza and the recently released Cyberpunk 2077. Fans of both games can now get their hands on the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech car from Cyberpunk 2077 in Forza Horizon 4.
Prior to The Game Awards going live, the Forza team told fans to keep an eye on the show. It would now seem that this was for a good reason, as at the show it was announced that the classic Cyberpunk 2077 Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech car, which can be found across most of the game’s marketing materials, is making its way into Forza Horizon 4.
The description in the announcement reads as follows: “Detroit built, Night City tuned. The Quadra Turbo-R V-TECH has arrived at the Horizon Festival. Get it by completing the head-to-head race _NIGHTCITY.EXE_ starting December 11.”
Forza Horizon 4 is no stranger to fun crossovers. Last year the racing game partnered with LEGO to bring LEGO cars and locations into the game. Unlike that crossover however, which cost money, this one appears to be free. It’ll be interesting to see whether, like the LEGO crossover, there will be a deeper level of integrating the worlds, or if it is limited to the car. Either way, this is undoubtedly a fun addition. The Forza x Cyberpunk 2077 crossover goes live today.
