MSI unveils new G series high refresh rate curved gaming monitors

MSI is expanding the G series with two new 27-inch curved gaming monitors. Featuring high refresh rates, a 1500R curvature on the screen, and low response times, both the MSI Optix G27C7 and the Optix G27CQ4P aim to provide gamers with a smoother experience.

The MSI Optix G27C7 features a Full HD VA panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT, 8-bit colour depth, 250nits of brightness, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, covering 93% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and 118% of the sRGB spectrum. The G27C7 also features FreeSync Premium, Night Vision, to brighten up the darker areas of the screen, and multiple gaming modes to choose from. Additionally, this monitor also uses anti-flicker technology and blue light reduction to reduce the users' eye fatigue.

In terms of I/O, the G27C7 includes 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack. The included stand only lets users tilt (-5º to 20º) the monitor, but there is VESA 100x100mm mount support, so ergonomics can be upgraded with a third-party monitor stand or arm.

The MSI Optix G27CQ4P uses a QHD VA panel featuring a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT, 8-bit colour depth, 250nits of brightness, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, resulting in a coverage of 91.8% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and 115.4% of the sRGB colour gamut. Just like the G27C7, it features FreeSync Premium, Night Vision, multiple game modes, anti-flicker technology, and blue light reduction.

Connectivity options are also similar to the G27C7, including 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.  There's also VESA 100x100mm support, but the included stand of the G27CQ4P already offers decent ergonomic capabilities, including tilt ( -5º to 20º) and height adjustment (130mm range).

MSI hasn't disclosed pricing and availability of the MSI Optix G27C7 and Optix G27CQ4P yet. You can learn more about the MSI Optix G27C7 HERE, and the Optix G27CQ4P HERE.
