This week, Guerrilla Games officially pushed out its tenth patch for Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, marking a several month long journey to get the PC version as polished as possible. Now though, the studio needs to turn more of its resources towards its next game, meaning PC updates for Zero Dawn are going to be less frequent moving forward.
Guerrilla Games has already announced its next game – Horizon Forbidden West, which is due out on PS4 and PS5 consoles later this year. The final year of development for any major project usually requires more resources and as a result, Horizon Zero Dawn on PC needs to take a back seat.
As part of the Patch 1.10 announcement, Guerrilla Games explained: “As our team continues development on our upcoming title Horizon Forbidden West, we are shifting to less frequent updates for Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC after this patch.”
While updates will be less frequent, community feedback will continue to be monitored so if anything major comes up, the studio will be looking to tackle it. For now though, it looks like the community's crash and bug reports have enabled the studio to squash the majority of issues.
