Pixio announces PX259 Prime gaming monitor with 280Hz refresh rate

Pixio is about to launch a new 280Hz gaming monitor. The PX259 Prime gaming monitor is “designed for pro play” and features a low response time, anti-tearing technology and eye care features, allowing users to play comfortably during long sessions.

The Pixio PX259 Prime features an IPS (AH-VA) panel with a FullHD resolution, 280Hz refresh rate, and 1ms G2G response time. This panel can cover up to 99% of the sRGB colour gamut, and has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and is capable of displaying up to 350 nits of brightness.

Certified as an AMD Radeon FreeSync Premium display, the Pixio PX259 Prime can offer tearless gaming sessions when connected to a Radeon GPU. The PX259 also features flicker-free technology and eye saver mode to reduce eye fatigue and strain, providing a more comfortable viewing experience. There are also multiple colour presets to choose from depending on the type of content being displayed, be it a browser, games, or movies.

The included stand only allows users to tilt the monitor, but in its back, there's support for a VESA 75x75mm monitor arm bracket if there's the need to enhance ergonomics. Available interfaces include a DisplayPort 1.2 (280Hz), an HDMI 2.0 port (240Hz), a USB-A port (DisplayPort 1.2), and an earphone 3.5mm jack.

The Pixio PX259 Prime will be priced at $299.99 once it's available.
