After teasing it in 2020, MSI has finally detailed the specifications of the MPG Artymis 343CQR. Aimed at gamers, this monitor features a curved ultrawide panel and 165Hz refresh rate.
The MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR comes with a curved (1000R) 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) VA panel with a UWQHD resolution (3440×1440), 1ms response time (MPRT), and a 165Hz refresh rate. Capable of outputting up to 550 nits of brightness and featuring a contrast ratio of 3000:1. This monitor is capable of covering up to 92.7% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 117.8% of the sRGB colour spectrum.
VESA certified as a DisplayHDR 400, this monitor can reproduce HDR content, providing users with more vivid colours and finer details. It is also certified by TÜV Rheinland, indicating low blue light for reduced eye strain. The gaming-oriented features include Sound Tune, to reduce background noise, Optix Scope, a built-in aim magnifier, Night Vision, to brighten up darker areas of the screen, AMD FreeSync Premium, to reduce tearing, and Console Mode, allowing the monitor to accept 4K signals from a PS5 and downscale it to the monitor's resolution.
Another interesting feature of the MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR are the HDMI CEC profile sync, allowing users to wake up the screen by using a game controller connected through HDMI CEC technology. This monitor also features True Colour Sync so users can use the same colour profile across different displays. There is a mobile projector function to display your smartphone on the monitor and as you would expect, Mystic Light RGB LEDs can be found on the back of the monitor. Other display modes include PIP, PBP and split screen.
Available video outputs include a DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode. The MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR also comes with a USB hub with 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1 and a USB-B 3.2 Gen1. The included stand allows the user to tilt (-5º to 20º), swivel (±30º), and adjust the height of the monitor by 100mm. Additionally, you can also mount it on a monitor arm compatible with VESA 100x100mm.
We don't have pricing information yet, but the MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR should be available at retail soon.
