EK and MSI have partnered up to develop the MPG Z590 Carbon EK X, featuring an MSI Carbon motherboard paired with an EK-Quantum monoblock. Designed to offer “unparalleled cooling” through the custom-designed monoblock, this motherboard will be based on the Z590 chipset, supporting Intel 10th and 11th Gen processors.
Featuring a 16+1+1 Duet Rail Power System, the MPG Z590 Carbon EK X motherboard was designed to offer users enhanced overclocks to extract every bit of power from compatible Intel processors. As more heat is generated with overclocking, a good cooling solution is needed to control the temperatures. Thanks to the custom-designed Quantum monoblock, users won't have to worry about the extra heat from the power delivery system and CPU. Moreover, this monoblock comes with an integrated flow indicator to monitor the flow, allowing users to configure the pump accordingly.
The base of the monoblock uses nickel-plated electrolytic copper, and the top is made of CNC-machined cast acrylic glass material with a carbon fibre pattern in the lower area and a black POM piece on the right side to cover LEDs hotspots. The motherboard features a 3-pin addressable D-RGB LED header that you can use to light up the ARGB LED strip equipped in the block. Additionally, users can also make use of Mystic Light RGB software to synchronise the RGB lighting of all of their compatible devices and components. Nickel-plated brass screw-in standoffs and the I/O shield are pre-installed out-of-the-box for an easier mounting process.
The MPG Z590 Carbon EK X supports Intel 10th and 11th Gen processors using the LGA 1200 socket, and PCIe 4.0. It also has 2x 8-pin power connectors, a built-in USB 3.2 Gen2×2 port, 2x M.2 Shield Frozr SSD heatsinks, an 8-channel (7.1) HD audio processor, a 2.5G LAN port, and an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 wireless module with support for Bluetooth 5.2.
Besides the MPG Z590 Carbon EK X motherboard, the package also includes an EK Leak Tester and a €50/$65 coupon for EK's webshop. The MPG Z590 Carbon EK X will be available for pre-order on February 22nd, 2021, priced at $499.99.
