EVGA releases new mechanical gaming keyboards and gaming mice

EVGA has announced a set of new gaming peripherals. Besides the new X20, X17, and X15 gaming mice, EVGA has also introduced the Z20 and Z15 mechanical gaming keyboards.

The new EVGA X series gaming mice are the world's first to feature a triple sensor, from which two are LOD sensors. By using these three sensors, these mice employ EVGA's 3-Dimension Array Tech to “detect the position where you lift the mouse off a surface and put the mouse back down”, resulting in a most accurate reading of the lift-off distance. Additionally, the 3-Dimension Array Tech algorithm can adjust the power-off height, but users can also configure through EVGA Unleash RGB software.

While the X20 features a Pixart 3335 optical sensor and 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB connectivity, the X17 and X15 feature the Pixart 3389 and USB 2.0 High-Speed 32-bit Arm Cortex-M33 core microprocessor with an 8KHz polling rate. Featuring up to 5x onboard profiles, users can change between them on the go, with a single click. The three X mice feature low friction PTFE feet for better mouse movement and mechanical torsion springs on the left and right buttons for increased responsiveness.

The EVGA Z15 features a hot-swap key switch design, RGB lighting (customisable via Unleash RGB software), multimedia keys, and it will be available with either Kailh Speed Silver mechanical switches (linear) or Kailh Speed Bronze mechanical switches (clicky). Powered by the same 32-bit Arm Cortex-M33 core microprocessor as the X17 and X15 mice, this keyboard supports a polling rate of up to 4KHz, about 4x times faster than most other gaming keyboards.

The EVGA Z20 goes a step beyond the Z15, featuring LK Light Strike optical-mechanical switches (clicky or linear) and a ToF (Time of Flight) proximity sensor that detects movement to wake the system or put it to sleep. This keyboard also features customisable RGB lighting on the keys and two additional RGB light bars, one on each side. The WASD and macro keys are different from the rest, with 4D bumps and a distinctive design. Moreover, the keyboard comes with a USB and audio jack passthrough, allowing users to conveniently connect a USB device and a headset to their system.

The EVGA Z15, Z20, X17, and X20 are available now. The Z15 is priced at $129.99, the Z20 at $174.99, the X17 at $79.99, and the X20 at $119.99. The X15's pricing and availability are still unknown.
