MSI has introduced a couple of new curved gaming monitors as part of its Optix AG series. Featuring 32-inch displays, 1500R curvature, and low response times, the Optix AG321CR and the AG321CQR aim to impress the PC gaming market.
The MSI Optix AG321CR has a VA panel with a FullHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms MPRT. This 8-bit panel has a contrast ratio of 4000:1, and 250nits of brightness, covering up to 120.25% of the sRGB colour spectrum and 94.55% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. For connectivity, this monitor features an HDMI 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.3 interface, a USB-B 2.0 port, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack.
The MSI Optix AG321CQR comes with a VA panel with a QHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms MPRT. Unlike the AG321CR, this panel has a 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC) and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. The brightness level is about the same, rated with 250nits of brightness, resulting in a coverage of 124% of the sRGB colour gamut and 98% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. Connectivity is somewhat similar to the AG321CR, featuring 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2 interface, USB-B 3.0 port, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack.
Both monitors feature Night Vision, AMD FreeSync Premium, multiple colour presets, anti-flicker technology, blue light reduction, MSI Mystic Light RGB LED ring on the back of the monitor, and support for VESA 75x75mm mounting brackets. They also share the same stand, providing users with a decent set of ergonomic options, including swivel (±30º), pivot (±5º), tilt (-5º to 20º), and height adjustment (0-90mm).
Pricing and availability details have not been disclosed. At the time of writing, the product page for the Optix AG321CQR isn't online, but you can learn more about the Optix AG321CR HERE.
