Corsair acquires Visuals by Impulse to enhance content creator offerings

Ever since acquiring Elgato back in 2018, Corsair has been expanding on its offerings for aspiring and professional content creators across Twitch, YouTube and other platforms. The latest acquisition by Corsair will help in this area, with Visuals by Impulse joining the Elgato family.

Corsair announced today that it is acquiring Visuals by Impulse (VBI), which will join Corsair under the existing Elgato brand. We don't know how much money was exchanged here, but VBI has previously partnered with over 200,000 users.

For those who don't know, VBI is a resource for streaming graphics, overlays, plugins, tools, animations and more. Over 200,000 users have utilised VBI's services in the last five years for live-streaming.

Speaking about the acquisition, Julian Fest, SVP and GM of Elgato said: “With the addition of Visuals by Impulse to the Elgato family, we’re excited to extend our core mission of empowering content creators. Design is a crucial element shaping a creator’s identity, and VBI has been at the forefront of making beautiful and interactive design accessible to anyone. Together with the talented team at VBI, we plan to push the boundaries of what design can mean for creators.”

KitGuru Says: Corsair has acquired quite a few companies in the last three years. It will be interesting to see what becomes of VBI under Elgato moving forward.
