Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD rated by the ESRB

The Shin Megami Tensei series is one of Atlus’ most loved properties. The franchise which eventually led to the spin-off series Persona, Shin Megami Tensei takes on a much darker tone. Unfortunately, none of the games are currently available on modern hardware, although thanks to an ESRB rating, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD looks to be coming soon.

Last year during a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, it was announced that Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne would be getting a HD remaster for the Nintendo Switch and PS4. While the game was released on the 29th of October 2020 in Asian markets, its worldwide release was said to be sometime in Spring 2021.

As of right now, there has been no official update on when Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD is coming to the West. That being said, thanks to a recent rating from the ESRB, it is safe to assume that the game is not too far away.

Taking place on the 20th of March is the Shin Megami Tensei Online Live Concert 2021. It is possible that we may hear official news on the game’s release there. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne was originally released for the PS2 in 2003. This HD remaster brings with it a number of additions, including a new ‘merciful’ difficulty, as well some rewritten dialogue. Hopefully Western fans won't have to wait too long to play Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD.
