Lenovo’s ThinkVision Mini LED monitor finally hits the market

Lenovo has finally released the ThinkVision Creator Extreme 4K Mini LED monitor. Initially introduced back in CES 2020, the ThinkVision Creator Extreme is a monitor aimed at colourists, editors, and VFX specialists because of its high contrast and accurate colours.

Featuring a 27-inch IPS panel with a 4K resolution, the ThinkVision Creator Extreme has a 6ms response time (4ms in Extreme Mode) and a 60Hz refresh rate. Certified as a DisplayHDR 1000 monitor, the ThinkVision can reach a peak brightness of 1200 nits (620 nits of typical brightness), and features a contrast ratio of up to 1000000:1.

The backlighting has 1152 local dimming zones spread across 10,368 Mini LEDs. In terms of colour accuracy, this 10-bit panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, 100% of the sRGB and BT.709 colour spectrums, and 78% of the BT.2020 colour gamut. To ensure colour accuracy out-of-the-box, the ThinkVision Creator Extreme comes factory-calibrated with a ΔE<1.

The Lenovo ThinkVision Creator Extreme features a USB-hub, bringing a USB-B 3.2 Gen1 upstream port, 4x USB-A 3.2 Gen1 downstream ports, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen1 downstream port with 100W of power delivery and DP alternative mode. For video and audio outputs, this monitor also features 2x DisplayPorts 1.4, 3x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. The included stand is very ergonomic, allowing users to tilt (5º to 35º), swivel (±45º), pivot (±90º), and adjust the height by 135mm.

The Lenovo ThinkVision Creator Extreme is available now at Lenovo's website, priced at $2499/€2500.
