The latest Rocket Lake-S benchmark leak has arrived. This time around, a new Geekbench 5 entry was found for the Intel Core i5-11400, which appears to have a whopping 35 percent single-core performance improvement over its 10th Gen equivalent.
As shared by @BenchLeaks, the Geekbench 5 database entry for the Intel Core i5-11400 shows that this processor will most likely come in a 6-core and 12-thread configuration. With a base clock of 2.6GHz and a boost clock of 4.4GHz, the Core i5-11400 offers a 100MHz bump over the previous generation Core i5-10400. The processor was mounted on an ASRock Z590M motherboard and paired with 16GB of DDR4-2133 memory.

The single-core performance of the Core i5-11400 processor on Geekbench 5 looks promising, scoring 1500 in the 1T benchmark. This is around 35 percent higher than the Core i5-10400 and is roughly 7 percent higher than the Core i9-10900K.
In the multi-core benchmark, the processor scored 6664 points, an 18% performance uplift compared to its previous generation counterpart. Intel 11th Gen Core processors are expected to be available by the end of Q1 2021, with the latest rumours pointing to a launch on March 15th.
