343 Industries shows off improved Halo Infinite graphics with new screenshots

343 Industries has provided another update on Halo Infinite this week. This time around, the studio is showcasing graphical improvements for the game, which has been a key area of focus since gathering feedback from last year's gameplay reveal.

The latest Inside Infinite reveals that teams are polishing the game's visuals and so far, the results are looking impressive. We have new screenshots from the game captured on PC:

The screenshots are all from the same area that the 2020 campaign gameplay demo took place in. Areas of improvement include lighting, environmental detail, character models and more. One particularly big deficiency from the game last year was a lack of ray-traced lighting effects, but the delay to 2021 means that the team can implement these new graphical features before launch.

These new screenshots are all from the PC version of Halo Infinite, but 343 Industries assures that it is “regularly reviewing the Xbox versions” and is committed to “delivering a great experience and high level of visual fidelity across all platforms”. We'll see more of the Xbox versions later this year.

KitGuru Says: Are many of you looking forward to Halo Infinite later this year? What do you think of the new graphical improvements shown in the screenshots?
