GeForce Now ends Founder’s Edition sign-ups, adds new ‘priority’ subscription tier

Last year, Nvidia brought GeForce Now out of beta and launched a limited ‘Founder's Edition' subscription for the service, granting subscribers with access to RTX-powered servers. Now as GeForce Now enters its second year, Founder's Edition sign-ups are being closed and replaced with ‘Priority' memberships for new subscribers.

As of today, the £4.99 per month (or £24.95 for six months) Founder's Edition membership is no longer available. All current Founder's Edition members will get to keep their membership and monthly price forever. However, new subscribers will have to pay a bit more.

The Priority membership is now in place for new GeForce Now subscribers, costing £8.99 per month instead, or £89.99 per year. Those who subscribe to the priority tier will get the same benefits as Founders members, including RTX graphics and preferred access to servers.

GeForce Now is approaching 10 million users at this point, so there are a number of upgrades also coming this year. That list of upgrades includes quality of service updates, two new data centres, faster game account linking and pre-loading for big game launches. Weekly game library updates will also continue.
