While Gearbox originally announced a March release date for Borderlands 3's Director's Cut DLC, the game is going to need a couple more weeks in development. This afternoon, the release date was pushed back to April.
In a tweet this afternoon, Gearbox announced that due to the severe weather in Texas last month, the team won't be able to meet its original deadline. Instead, Borderlands 3: Director's Cut will be coming out on the 8th of April.

Back in late 2020, Gearbox announced a second season pass for Borderlands 3. We are now coming to the end of that season pass, with the Director’s Cut DLC, which will introduce a murder mystery storyline and a new mechanic for analysing crime scenes. There will also be a new raid boss.
This DLC also introduces something called ‘Vault Cards’, which you can level up by completing in-game challenges. You will then be rewarded with themed loot drops. There will be three Vault Cards over the course of 2021, with the first arriving at the launch of this new expansion.
