While the rumour mill originally led us to believe that the RTX 3080 Ti would launch as early as January 2021, the current GPU stock situation resulted in delays. Apparently, the RTX 3080Ti is indeed still on the way and the latest reports are pointing to an April 2021 launch window.
According to a report from MyDrivers, the RTX 3080 Ti is “almost certain to be released on the market around mid-April”. Twitter leaker ‘@momomo_us‘ shared the leak, but didn't add further details.
In terms of specs, the source hear claims that the RTX 3080 Ti will come with 10,240 Steam Processors and 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM across a 384-bit bus. This GPU will also include Nvidia's new anti-mining measures to cap the hash rate and discourage miners from buying up all the stock.
While it is claimed that the RTX 3080 Ti will ship with 12GB of memory, there are still counter-reports indicating 20GB of VRAM, so there is still work to be done on narrowing down the finer details. If this all proves to be true, we'll be hearing a lot more about the RTX 3080 Ti over the next few weeks.
