Gigabyte details RTX 30 GPU specs for full gaming laptop range

As we learned earlier this year, Nvidia is no longer branding its laptop GPUs with the Max-Q or Max-P moniker, meaning laptop makers need to be a bit more specific about GPU specifications compared to past generations. Gigabyte is getting on-board early, revealing the GPU specifications for its full 2021 gaming laptop line-up.

Not all Gigabyte laptop models are made the same. Even if two laptop models feature the same GPU, they may have some differences in the chassis, cooling system, and power delivery. Depending on these features, the same GPU in different models may have small variations. This applies to gaming laptops for other companies too.

Following consumer feedback to share the specifications of the GPUs featured in RTX 30 series-powered laptops, Gigabyte has published the following table:

Besides RTX 30 series laptop GPUs, Gigabyte AORUS and AERO laptops also feature Intel 10th Gen 8-core processors. The gaming-oriented AORUS laptops come with a 15/17-inch displays with up to 300Hz refresh rate, while the Gigabyte AERO workstation laptops feature 15/17-inch OLED and IPS displays with up to 4K resolution.

KitGuru says: Other manufacturers should follow Gigabyte's footsteps and release the specifications of the RTX 30 series laptop GPUs. This way, customers will be better informed before making a purchase decision. Are you thinking about buying a new RTX 30 series laptop?
