Undertale took the gaming community by storm when it first released in 2015. Since then, the game has continued to thrive through the support of a dedicated fanbase, and the promise that more is coming from the world of Undertale (through Deltarune). It was therefore surprising that the game never made its way to Xbox, until now.
Making the announcement on its blog, Xbox said “At long last, Undertale is coming to Xbox! For the first time ever, players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will have the chance to experience one of indie gaming’s most beloved role-playing games when it launches on Xbox Game Pass [on] March 16.”
As with many of the other console releases, the Xbox version reportedly “features its own little…shrine, one might say…of exclusive content to look out for”. As mentioned, the game is coming for free to Xbox Game Pass, but if you wish to own the game outright, it will set you back $14.99.
Undertale first launched for PC in September 2015. It was later brought to PS4 and PS Vita just under two years later in August of 2017. The Nintendo Switch got Undertale a year after that (September 2018), and now finally Xbox players will be able to experience the game that many have loved over the course of the past 5 years. Hopefully Deltarune’s full release isn’t too far behind.
