DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part Two is out today

While id Software chose to focus on multiplayer expansions for DOOM (2016), the studio took a different approach with 2020's DOOM Eternal, offering a two-part campaign expansion. Today, that two-part expansion campaign comes to an end, with The Ancient Gods Part Two now out.

As of today, DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part Two is officially available, acting as the grand finale to the story that began with DOOM (2016). This time around, players will be heading off to fight the Dark Lord in an attempt to seal the underworld and stop the demon invasion.

As you would expect, there will be new demons to fight along the way, as well as a new weapon. In The Ancient Gods Part Two, the Doom Slayer adds the Sentinel Hammer to his arsenal, which can be used to stun larger demons, generate ammo and squash smaller demons.

While The Ancient Gods Part One had a pretty major difficulty jump from the base campaign, according to PCGamer players should find The Ancient Gods Part Two a bit easier – in large part thanks to this new weapon.
