Deathloop has been delayed again

Deathloop, the upcoming game from Arkane Lyon, has had a slightly tumultuous development. Originally intended to launch in the holiday season last year, the game was delayed. Despite this, it seems the team needs even more time to polish the much-anticipated game up, as Deathloop has been delayed even further.

Making the announcement, the Arkane Lyon team said “We've made the decision to delay the launch of Deathloop to September 14, 2021. We're committed to quality and preserving our team's ambitions for Deathloop while ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane.”

This extra time will be used to “accomplish our goal: create a fun, stylish, and mind-bending player experience.”

The team concluded by saying” We apologize for the extended wait and thank you all for your passion and excitement. It is the fuel that powers our creativity and our hard work. We can't wait to show you more Deathloop soon!”

As mentioned, Deathloop was originally intended to launch during Holiday 2020, before being delayed to the 21st of May. Pushing it out even further by almost 4 months is a major decision, but hopefully the game will be better for it.
