The 2021 PC Gaming Show has been announced

The PC Gaming Show is an annual event celebrating and highlighting (unsurprisingly) PC gaming. Despite the world still being affected to a large degree by global events such as COVID-19, it has now been confirmed that the PC Gaming Show will be back this Summer.

PC Gamer announced that they are “delighted to announce the return of our annual summer showcase, the PC Gaming Show, broadcasting on June 13”. Alongside this, they confirmed the return of the Future Games Show, with the two events being pitched as a double-header.

As mentioned, “the PC Gaming Show is the biggest broadcast event dedicated to PC gaming” with 2020’s event bringing in 5.9M viewers in 2020 across all platforms. The show has historically consisted of both software and hardware announcements, with titles such as Valheim, XCOM 2, Borderlands 3, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, Warframe, Baldur's Gate 3 all being featured in the past.

Though PlayStation’s plans for E3 2021 is still unknown, it is good to see that the PC Gaming Show will be participating, especially considering the fact that it is the closest thing that PC players have to a unified and dedicated showcase for games. It will be interesting to see what is planned for this year’s event.
