AMD Ryzen 7 5700G retail sample photos and benchmarks emerge

The Ryzen 5000G series is closer to launch than ever. Last week, the AMD's upcoming APU line-up was leaked and now, we appear to have some performance data to go along with those leaks. Someone has managed to get their hands on the upcoming Ryzen 7 5700G, releasing the benchmarks and specification information online. 

The photo uploaded at the Chiphell forum shows what seems to be an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G APU with the 100-000000263 OPN code. AMD has not confirmed specifications yet, but it should feature an 8C/16T core configuration and Vega integrated graphics with 512 streaming multiprocessors. GPU-Z lists the Vega 8 iGPU with 2.0GHz clock frequency, but the leaker commented that this value might be wrong.

Alongside the photo, the leaker posted screenshots showing results of the APU on CPU-Z, AIDA64, and Cinebench R20. The Ryzen 7 5700G sample scored 631 points in single-core and 6782 points on the multi-core test at stock settings on CPU-Z. Cinebench R20 was only tested in multi-core, scoring 6040 points.

Overclocking was also tested. The leaker stated that he tried to reach 4.7GHz at 1.42V, but this proved to be unstable. After reducing the voltage to 1.365V, the sample had become stable, achieving a maximum clock frequency of 4.65GHz.

KitGuru says: It's still unclear when AMD will launch the Ryzen 5000G series, there is also some uncertainty over whether or not these APUs will be available to DIY builders, or if they will be reserved for pre-built systems from OEMs like Dell. If they do happen to become available to DIY system builders, would you consider a Ryzen 5000G APU for a PC build?
