AMD Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” processors rumoured to feature RDNA 2 graphics

In August 2020, we came across an alleged AMD roadmap introducing multiple new architectures, such as “Warhol” and “Cezanne”. Over time, these names have been revealed as official, bringing some legitimacy to last year's leak. Now in an updated roadmap, we also have some details on an upcoming “Raphael” series of Ryzen processors from AMD, which should feature Zen 4 CPU cores and RDNA 2 graphics.

The first photo of the roadmap suggested that the architecture succeeding “Warhol” would start with “Ra,” and as some may have thought, it is indeed “Raphael.” The confirmation comes from @sepeuwmjh, who also added that “Raphael” SKUs will feature the anticipated Zen 4 core CPU architecture based on the 5nm node, and Navi 2x (RDNA 2) integrated graphics.

If Raphael comes with an iGPU, it might mean that future Ryzen SKUs will feature integrated graphics, removing the need for a dedicated line of Ryzen G series APUs. There are some other changes compared to last year's roadmap though. Previously, AMD's “Warhol” processors were said to be based on 7nm technology but recently, this has been updated to 6nm.

This is all rumour for now as AMD has not revealed its roadmap publicly. Time will tell how much of this current information is accurate. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: For some, the iGPU of a processor might not mean much, but for mini-ITX or budget-oriented builders, it's a welcome addition. Besides saving a lot of space inside a case, it also dramatically reduces the price of building a complete AMD system. Would you like to see AMD introducing iGPUs on future Ryzen CPUs?
