Gigabyte officially announces its CMP 30HX mining graphics card

Nvidia announced the CMP 30HX series in March and while we knew AiB partners would be working with Nvidia on this, partners didn't announce their cards straight away. That changed this week, with Gigabyte becoming the first AiB partner to introduce its own CMP 30HX mining processor officially.

Based on the Turing architecture, the Gigabyte CMP 30HX D6 comes with a TU116-100 GPU with 1408 cores clocked at 1530MHz, boosting up to 1785MHz. The card features 6GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 14Gbps across a 192-bit memory bus, offering a 26MH/s hash rate at stock settings.

The cooling system is similar to what we've seen in previous Gigabyte's GTX 16xx series and RTX 2060 series cards, featuring two fans to cool the heatsink. The Gigabyte CMP 30HX does not feature any video outputs, as expected from a mining card. This card features an 8-pin PCIe power connector, and the manufacturer recommends a 450W PSU to power it up.

A listing of the Gigabyte CMP 30HX card had already been spotted by VideoCardz, meaning it's already available to some, but considering the $720 price, it may be better to skip it for the time being.
