Analogue Pocket gets limited (and expensive) aluminium edition

The Analogue Pocket proved to be a pretty popular portable following its release back in 2021, with the FPGA-powered handheld giving owners an authentic feel when playing various titles from the Game Boy series of systems – while also offering some modern niceties. Already a rather costly device, the company has now announced a limited edition version of the Analogue Pocket which is made entirely out of aluminium.

Making the announcement on their website, the team revealed the limited ‘Analogue Pocket: Aluminium Edition’ which is said to be “precision cnc'd entirely in aluminium. With uncompromising attitude to quality. There has never been a handheld video game system like it.”

The Analogue Pocket was already a pretty pricey portable upon its release, costing $219.99. That said, this pales in comparison to the new limited editions, which will set you back an entire $499.99.

That said, there is no denying that the new aluminium Analogue Pocket will likely be at the upper echelon of premium portables – just as the regular Pocket was upon its release.

Those interested in this highly limited edition will be able to pre-order the aluminium Analogue Pocket in 4 different colours from the 15th of July – with the devices shipping just a few days later.
