Gigabyte launches 1080p/170Hz and 4K/144Hz gaming monitors

Gigabyte has unveiled two new gaming monitors this week- the G24F and M28U. The former is a Full HD display with a 170Hz refresh rate, while the other is a high-end 4K display with 144Hz refresh rate and a KVM switch.

The Gigabyte G24F features a 24-inch Super Speed IPS panel with a 2ms G2G response time (1ms MPRT) and 300nits of typical brightness. Covering 120% of the sRGB spectrum and 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, the G24F features a slew of gaming-oriented features, including multiple overlays, AMD FreeSync Premium, and Black Stabilizer.

For connectivity, this monitor comes with 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, 2x USB-A 3.0 ports, a USB-B upstream port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The included stand allows for tilt (-5º to 20º) and height adjustments (0-130mm), but there's also support for VESA 100x100mm monitor brackets.

The Gigabyte M28U comes with much higher specs than the G24F, featuring a 4K IPS panel with a 1ms G2G response time. Certified with VESA Display HDR400, this display has an 8-bit colour depth, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and 300nits of typical brightness. The M28U covers 120% of the sRGB gamut and 94% of the DCI-P3 spectrum and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Like the G24F, it comes with numerous gaming-focused features to enhance the gameplay experience, but it also comes with a KVM switch and a 6-axis colour controller.

As for connectivity, there are 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5mm audio jack, 3x USB-A ports, and a USB-C port. The M28U has a pair of 3W speakers with ClearSound that might be useful if the user doesn't have a sound system. The stand offers similar capabilities to the G24F's stand, including tilt (-5º to 20º) and height adjustments (0-130mm). Additionally, it supports VESA 100x100mm wall mounting.
