Intel refreshes the 11th Gen Core mobile lineup with two new SKUs

Intel has officially introduced two new processors to the 11th Gen Core mobile line-up: the Core i5-1155G7 and the Core i7-1195G7. Both processors are similar to other SKUs, offering slightly higher clock speeds while maintaining the core configuration.

Like the other i5 and i7 processors of the 11th Gen Core mobile line-up, the Core i5-1155G7 and the Core i7-1195G7 have 4x cores, 8x threads, and a 12-28W TDP.

The Core i5-1155G7 has 8MB of cache and features a 2.5GHz base clock, boosting up to 4.5GHz on a single core and 4.3GHz on all cores, making it the series' fastest i5 processor. The iGPU is also the highest clocked of the i5 SKUs, reaching a 1.35GHz.

The Core i7-1195G7 is the highest spec processor of the series. With 12MB of cache and a 2.9GHz base clock, this i7 processor reaches a single-core clock speed of 5.0GHz and an all-core speed of 4.6GHz. The iGPU, similar to the CPU component, is also the highest-clocked of the series, capable of hitting 1.40GHz frequencies.

Intel shared a few slides comparing the gaming and productivity performance of the Core i7-1195G7 with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U. In gaming workloads, the new Core i7 CPU can outperform the AMD processor by as much as 178%. On productivity, in selected benchmarks, the difference can be even wider, with the Intel processor being up to 8x times than the Ryzen 7 5800U.

The first laptops equipped with these processors should come out during summer, with 60 more laptop designs planned to be released by the end of this year.
