Asus X870E motherboards may come with exclusive CPU-tweaking features

AMD 800-series motherboards are still a few months away, with the first wave expected in September. However, details have already started to be shared, including some of the features they'll offer. Asus boards, for example, will offer two apparently exclusive features that adjust CPU performance.

A user of the HardwareLuxx forums (via VideoCardz), who started a popular topic about AGESA improvements, has given an outline of what the future Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WIFI motherboard will feature.

One of these features is Heavy Load Dynamic CO Stabiliser, which is described as Enable to switch over to PBO Mode from OC Mode during periods of very heavy loading”. The other one is “All Core Safe CO S values to switch to”, which will allow users to “set an appropriate fallback Curve Optimizer value for periods of very heavy loading”. Moreover, the image shared by the forum user also implies that Asus will increase fan point adjustments to eight from four on the older motherboard SKU (X670E-E).

Although the user only has the details for the Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WIFI motherboard, that doesn't mean that Asus won't offer these same features on other boards. Even if lower-tier boards don't have them, there's a good chance that higher-tier ones, like the X870E ROG Maximus pictured above, will.

Alongside these features, others will be available on all motherboards, regardless of the vendor. These include the new DDR5 RAM OC and Curve Shaper, which will also be available on 600-series boards through the AGESA 1.2.0.0a update.
