Following the recent announcement that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be delayed from its intended November launch to February 2025, the publisher looks to be going back to the drawing board for some of its release plans – including dropping the Collector’s Edition price by a substantial $50.
As reported by IGN, Assassin’s Creed Shadows developer Ubisoft Quebec took to their Discord to confirm some of the changes coming as a result of the game’s delay, stating “The content will mostly remain as initially advertised, though some design elements may change.”
With that, the team confirmed that as part of this delay the previously announced AC: Shadows Collector’s Edition would be seeing some changes – the most notable being a $50 price drop from $279.99 to $229.99.
Unfortunately, this price drop is as a result of the Collector’s Edition losing some of its previously promised features: namely 3 days of advanced access and the now-cancelled Season Pass.
Even with the price drop, the collector’s edition for Assassin’s Creed Shadows remains rather costly, and so it will be interesting to see how fans react to these changes.
