Thermal Grizzly introduces the Thermal Putty “gap-fillers”, a replacement to thermal pads

Thermal Grizzly has introduced a new solution for cooling named Thermal Putty. This innovative material offers a versatile alternative to traditional thermal pads, making it ideal for graphics card upgrades and repairs, laptops, and other applications.

Thermal Putty is a non-conductive gap filler that adapts to varying heights, making it suitable for replacing thermal pads. Unlike traditional pads, which come in fixed thicknesses, Thermal Putty can accommodate height discrepancies ranging from 0.2mm to 3.0mm, providing greater flexibility and ensuring optimal contact between two points/areas.

Thermal Putty can be applied in two ways. For larger surfaces, you can use the included spatulas to spread it evenly. For smaller contact points, such as VRAM or SMD components, you can manually mould the putty with gloved hands to be more precise during the application.

Thermal Grizzly offers Thermal Putty in three variants, each with a different level of thermal conductivity: Putty Basic, which offers average thermal conductivity for general-purpose applications; Putty Advance, which provides stronger thermal conductivity for more demanding systems; Putty Pro, suitable for high-performance GPUs and overclocking scenarios.

Putty comes in pots with 30 grammes of material. The Basic costs €14.90/$16.24, increasing to €24.90/$27.14 for the Advance and to €39.90/$43.49 for the Pro. Pricing includes shipping and VAT.

KitGuru says: Given its additional versatility, do you think Putty can replace thermal pads?
