QNAP is back with another AMD Ryzen powered NAS system. The new TS-x73A features an AMD Ryzen V1000 series v1500B quad-core processor, 2.5GbE networking, 8GB of memory and up to eight bays for storage drives.
Speaking on the new Ryzen powered NAS, QNAP Product Manager, Jason Hsu, said: “With a great leap in hardware performance compared to previous models, the TS-x73A series provides incredible potential and expansion options for users. By supporting switching to the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system, the TS-x73A series represents great value and an exceptional investment for users with various and evolving requirements.”
The TS-x73A series includes 8GB DDR4 RAM but supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, as well as ECC RAM, so there are upgrade paths present for users that need them. Aside from the main drive bays, there are also two built-in M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots, which can be used to leverage QNAP's Qtier and SSD Caching technology for better performance.
Dual 2.5GbE ports are capable of delivering transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, but there are two additional PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots for add-in cards, so users can upgrade to 10GbE networking, install a wireless card or another SAS/SATA expansion device.
There are three models in the The TS-x73A series, a 4-bay NAS, a 6-bay NAS and an 8-bay NAS. You can find more details on technical specifications and pricing, HERE.
