In a completely unexpected move, Intel added four new processors based on the Tiger Lake architecture to its product database. What is even more surprising is that all of them are for desktop, marking the launch of the first 10nm processors for desktop from Intel.
The new processors were initially spotted by @momomo_us. There will be four processors, all belonging to the 11th Gen Core series and featuring the letter “B” in their name. The product pages also reveal that all of them are based on Intel's 10nm SuperFin architecture. The four processors are the Intel Core i3-11100B, Core i5-11500B, Core i7-11700B, and Core i9-11900KB. Out of all of them, the Core i9 appears to be the only ‘unlocked' processor.
All four processors are listed featuring Intel Thermal Velocity Boost 3.0, capable of reaching a 5.3 GHz frequency, this could be an error though. As for the detailed specifications, you can check them in the following table:
SKU | Cores/Threads | Base Clock | Boost clock | Thermal Velocity Boost | Cache | TDP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
i9-11900KB | ||||||
i7-11700B | TBD | 24MB | ||||
i5-11500B | TBD | 12MB | ||||
i3-11100B | TBD | 12MB |
These processors are listed to launch on Q2 2021, but we are yet to see them available for purchase. It's also unclear if they will be exclusive for OEM systems or if they will be available in the DIY market.
