ASRock’s upcoming ITX system features unknown AMD Radeon P120 ITX graphics card

During a live stream where an ASRock representative was detailing the company's upcoming Desk Mini Max ITX system, something unexpected happened. When they were talking about the GPU compatibility, an unknown AMD Radeon P120 ITX card was mentioned. No details about the card were disclosed, but considering the looks, size, and timing, it may well be an upcoming mid-range Radeon RX 6000 series GPU.

As initially spotted by @harukaze5719, ASRock has detailed a bit more about its upcoming mini ITX system, which was first announced during Computex 2021. Despite how compact it is, the 9-litre Desk Mini Max will be capable of housing 3.5-inch hard drives, 5.25-inch devices and AM4 Ryzen processors up to the 5000 series (maximum 105W). The motherboard used in this system is slightly different from standard ITX boards, featuring 4 DIMM slots and a full-length PCIe interface. Moreover, the system will also pack an ATX PSU with custom cables.

As for GPUs, the system will support up to 20cm-long cards, and there will be four options to choose from: two from Nvidia and two from AMD. Nvidia options include an Asus RTX 3060 Ti Mini and an Nvidia Quadro P2000, while AMD options are the Radeon Pro WX5100 and a mysterious Radeon P120 ITX.

No details about this P120 card were disclosed during the live stream, but we can see that it's powered by an 8-pin power connector and features a Challenger series sticker on the fan. Additionally, VideoCardz also pointed out that the capacitor layout seems to be that of an RDNA1 or RDNA2-based GPU, suggesting that the P120 naming might be an internal codename for an unreleased graphics card, likely using Navi 22 or Navi 23.

KitGuru says: Considering that Nvidia's option is an RTX 3060 Ti, it seems safe to assume that the P120 will come below the Radeon RX 6700 XT in AMD's Radeon RX 6000 series performance hierarchy. With that in mind, it could be a non-XT RX 6700, or possibly an unannounced RX 6600 series GPU.
