E3 offers many developers and publishers a massive stage with which to show off their latest and upcoming games. In recent years however, E3 has become less of a centralised focal point for gaming, with publishers creating their own independent showcases. WB Games, who currently have many projects in development, have opted to only showcase one game at E3: Back4Blood.
WB Games currently has a number of major games in development, including Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Despite it being almost a year since any of these games were first shown off, none of these titles are set to make an appearance at E3.
While the recently released E3 schedule revealed that WB Games would be making an appearance at the expo, Geoff Keighley (creator of the Summer Game Fest) clarified that WB Games’ appearance at E3 will be limited to the upcoming spiritual successor to Left4Dead, titled Back4Blood.
Back4Blood will be launching in October of this year, and so it makes sense that WB Games would want to push all eyes toward it, however with so little seen so far of any of the publisher’s other unreleased games, it is a bit disappointing to know that none of these games are set to make an appearance. That being said, it is good to know beforehand, managing expectations and ultimately leading to less disappointment in the long run.
