Bandai Namco denies that Scarlet Nexus is coming to Game Pass

Recently, a rumour circulated that the upcoming action-RPG Scarlet Nexus would be coming to Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release. While this would be a major get for the Microsoft service, Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, has now denied this rumour, claiming it to be false.

Jeff Grubb, who has made a name for himself over the past year through a string of accurate leaks, recently claimed that Microsoft had struck a deal with Bandai Namco to bring the upcoming Action-RPG Scarlet Nexus to Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release.

This would make sense, as Scarlet Nexus was first revealed at the Xbox Series X event last year, meaning that Bandai Namco and Microsoft had seemingly struck some form of marketing deal.

With Scarlet Nexus set to release on the 25th of June, an announcement of a Game Pass launch would likely take place during E3. The being said, Bandai Namco have now denied these rumours, releasing a statement to VGC saying “We have no plans to bring Scarlet Nexus to Xbox Game Pass at this time and are excited for its launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on June 25.”

While this may seem like concrete proof that the title is not coming to Game Pass, this wouldn’t be the first time that a publisher has directly denied rumours, only to later reveal them to be true. With E3 coming up, and Microsoft confirming that more Game Pass news will occur during its showcase, time will tell whether Scarlet Nexus will or will not be coming to Game Pass at launch.
