Hades took many people by surprise when it launched last year (following an early access period). The rogue-like ended up winning many awards, including over 50 game of the year accolades. Though currently the game is only available on Switch and PC, it will soon be coming to both Xbox and PlayStation.
Announced at E3 as part of the Xbox and Bethesda conference – and later further detailed on Supergiant Games' blog – it was confirmed that Hades, the award-winning rogue-like from developer Supergiant Games is coming to Xbox One, Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 on the 13th of August.
What’s more, initially a digital-only release, Hades is set to get a physical release on Xbox and PlayStation which comes with a “32-page full-color character compendium booklet with artwork from the game by Jen Zee” and a digital soundtrack.
Of course, as with most of the games shown off at the Microsoft and Bethesda conference, Hades is coming to Xbox Game Pass day-and-date with its console release, meaning that subscribers can get the game for free.
Hades launched in September 2020 for PC and Switch, becoming the underdog during the game awards season, managing to swoop in with over 50 separate awards – making it the 3rd most awarded game of the year only behind Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II. Hopefully its upcoming PlayStation and Xbox release proves to only elevate Supergiant Games even further. The physical release can be found HERE.
